To take advantage of our Starter package, you'll need to be in an area where Rogers provides digital Business TV services and have at least one set-top box.
For the time being, customers located in areas serviced by Compton Communications or Kincardine Cable cannot subscribe to the Starter package since they are not covered by the new packaging rules.
No. CRTC packaging rules require customers to first subscribe to Starter to order standalone channels.
While you are able to order multiple business products, in addition to the Starter package, you won't be eligible for any bundle discounts or benefits when combining Internet/Business Phone/Smart Business Monitoring products with the Starter package.
Yes. With the Starter package, you’ll have access to the same premium and multicultural content that’s available today (in the regions where they’re offered).
The Starter package includes:
- Local stations such as City, CTV and Global
- Public interest channels such as Aboriginal Peoples Television Network and AMI TV
- U.S. border stations such as NBC, ABC, CBS, FOX, and PBS.
- Access to Rogers On Demand offerings, Pay-Per-View, and various promotional and preview channels.
Yes, you will be able to switch between our existing value packages and the Starter package.
However, if your package is no longer available on the market, you won't be able to switch back to it. In this case, you'll be asked to subscribe to one of the current in-market packages.
Rogers regularly offers temporary free previews of select VOD content and regular channels in order to help customers discover new content.
There are no additional charges for these channels and the free preview may end at any moment without prior notice.
To subscribe to Starter and Starter standalone channels, you need to have at least one digital set-top box on your account. You can use digital adapters on any other outlets in your office.
A digital adapter only lets you to see channels included in Starter. You won’t be able to see standalone channels, channels included in Starter Theme packs or premium and multicultural services with a digital adapter.
The $25 maximum applies to Starter content only. The CRTC specifically excludes equipment charges from that amount.
Our Starter Theme packs and Starter standalone channels weren’t designed to be compatible with traditional value packages.
If you currently have a fixed term contract for your TV service and decide to subscribe to Starter, you’ll need to cancel your current TV service before the end of your term and an Early Cancellation Fee will be billed to your account.
